The “REAL ID” Act is a federal law that affects how states issue driver’s licenses and ID cards, if they are going to be accepted for federal purpose, such as boarding aircrafts or entering secure military installations or federal facilities that require an ID. Without the REAL ID, persons will be unable to enter into many government buildings or facilities. Although the deadline is in 2023, we are encouraging everyone to obtain the ID as soon as possible.
