*You Must Vote! There is a Concentrated Effort Throughout American to Limited or Restrict Your Opportunity to Vote. Just in case you are not aware of the actions that is taking place to hinder the progression of minorities. The senate failed to pass the “John Lewis Voters Protection Act” thereby allowing states to move forward with their efforts to limit, restrict and suppress voting in their states. Not only are these efforts by the states limiting citizens right to vote, but they are also attempting to develop systems that would possibly make one’s vote not count and give elected officials the power to disregard your vote and select the person of legislators choosing to represent the state. Also, the senate did not pass the “Criminal Justice Reform Bill” which would hold law enforcement accountable for their inappropriate behavior toward citizens. Finally, the senate refused to pass President Biden’s “Build Back Better Bill” which would have provided college tuition assistance, health care assistance and other measures to help the middle class as well as the poor and disenfranchised Americans. We must elect people that support our issues and concerns and be vigilant so that Virginia doesn’t adopt similar measures which will limit or restrict our right to vote. Fight to save democracy!
